I connected it to a PDU and also a Cisco device using a patch cable and usb to serial adapter and had no issues.

These are very nice and work well. I no longer need to carry x-over cables in my bag. Just plug it into the port, add a CAT5e cable and talk to other devices. Would recommend you have at least one in your bag.

I had a hard time finding a converter to do this. I have RJ45 connectors throughout the house, and I wanted to connect a landline phone.
This connector made that possible. It came fast everything fits snug like expected. I have no cons for it so far.

Despite the review saying that this was very poorly put together I found absolutely no issues with the adaptor, it does exactly what I need it to do with no frills and no issues. Only 2 left in stock - order soon.
I ordered the wrong size. Other than that it is okay. Everyone else said it worked with the Nintendo Switch, so I gave it a shot. It worked immediately upon plugging it in. Few know about the existence of these little connectors.

A Godsend for anyone who has already wrapped their cables up and doesn't want to pull another cord out of a batch conduit for that few extra needed feet of Cat5 for a changed connection distance. The device works great for my multiple flash drives. For some unknown reason my USB wired keyboard did not work correctly when plugged into it but other devices with wireless USB transmitters work fine.

Can I Convert to Ethernet? Can't find your answer? Please don't start a new thread for the same question. If you are really lucky they used cat5 4 twisted pair and wired it to a phone jack. If it's coming in from the ISP then it's not going to help you out.

Good luck finding the other end. If the wire wasn't secured through the wall you might be able to pull some cat5e through using the phone line.
