I have been against good players, bad players, level 1 and prestige 10 people. So your experience is anecdotal at best.

Maybe the people in your region are just good players. But as for SBMM, doesnt exist. I think from what ive read that the sbmm system is based not on rank but by score per minute. BO3 let the player choose if they wanted to prioritise connections vs skill. This choice should not have been taken away, its the best of both worlds.
Besides, connections aren't that great.
I'm in UK and ended up in a match with I think spanish players primarily. During uk evening time, like 9pm. Gamers With Commitments we are live on facebook. Why wouldn't there be any prestige people in there? How come I never see any high prestige people? Or any rank 10 people? I never see a single new player and yet when this youtuber tries a different console and starts at rank 1, that is all he is matched up against. Tips and set ups. Keep me logged in on this device. Forgot your username or password? I am solo queing, and have been since I started this game. Suddenly in the last 2 days I have been placed on the losing team, who is getting demolished, so many times in a row it seems almost impossible. I lost 9 matches straight where I was top of the leaderboard 7 of those matches. I can't choose my teammates and you'd think by pure probability I'd land on the winning team some of those matches.

No these are not in progress games. But it does this literally the majority of the time all of a sudden. My last 53 matches, I have lost 36 of them. I didn't do particularly bad in any of them. Also why are there almost 0 competitive matches.
