In social situations, we are always together also. However, sometimes when he's working, he comes across as distant and barely knows I'm there. It is obvious to all of our friends that I like him but I have no idea whether he knows i like him. I'm assuming he does know because he's really smart.
Is he just ignoring it or does he have feelings for me too? What are signs that he is interested in me as more than a friend?

How can I take the next step without being direct? In my experience, women tend to read into things a little too much. I've seen women really hurt my friends by laying claims on them to their friend groups and then my friends are socially boxed in.
It's actually worse, because these women have convinced everyone that my friends are teases when really they have no interest and the woman is just reading in whatever signals they want. My advise would be that if he is interested in you, he will flirt with you, and that won't be easily misunderstood.
ENTJs are a lot of things, but they aren't ambiguous. If he is in to you, and you have made it clear that you are available as you clearly have , and he really is an ENTJ, then he will make a move. No doubt about it. Consider it an ENTJ thing. I personally am extremely oblivious to what women are trying to communicate.

The other week I was hanging out with some friends. I got a little too wasted and allowed one of the nice ladies help me too bed. Let's just say, as it turns out, she wasn't actually trying to help me into the bed to sleep. She was trying to drop hints, but I just looked at her all confused. She had to blurt it out before I finally understood what she wanted. I think it has more to do with the fact I'm a guy, we're all pretty oblivious.
