The only con I have is that it can only fit 1 mountain bike even though it is listed for 2. The arm is too short for 2 full size Mtb. Sturdy and well built, with a reasonable price. First time using a bike rake. It fit my Honda Accord great and was easy to install. Bryan with customer service was very helpful getting the bike rack in a timely manner. The product did well with a Cadillac CTS. The only notables was the side hook was really snug against the tail lights and the trunk, basically you need to make this the last thing to hookup before you close the trunk.
This setup was a no trunk access after the assembly and the bikes are placed. So if you travel make sure you have everything in the trunk before you leave your house. The bicycle rack is well designed and light, it is very easy to install just by one person. Once I tightened up the straps this rack is well secured and it did the great job as described. Got this for our Ford Escape for a 4 hour trip we were making on roads varying from highway to back roads.
The installation is easy if you take the time to plan out the straps and follow the directions. Lots of rubber and padding to keep from scratching the car. It seemed pretty solid even with the sway. It was a little weird when we tightened things down the top bar came off the glass. It didn't affect the performance, but it did make for a little concern going down the road. If we loosened things up to keep the bar on the glass it was too loose to prevent sway.
I 've just opened the box and do not qualify to give a review. What I see looks very well made, but I have concerns about the upper straps location. I have a spoiler on my Ford Edge Titanium that will not allow me to have the straps over the top. The hinge points at the top of the spoiler are my only connection point to provide strap support. The hinge point looks adequate, but the strap hook appears to be too wide to make that connection.
