There is a sizable population of black people there so I guess the dating pool is okay. I was researching real estate in the area a few months ago. I've considered moving there I can't tell you about the dating scene there but my impression was that most of the men and women I met in Savannah were just "who they were" and what you saw was pretty much what you got. That's probably a plus one for dating there.
Im from savannah and my family even tells me to not bother with the men here. Really though, there are so many places especially downtown that cater to just about any interest. Shopping is cool downtown. There are two malls ogelthorpe and savannah. Most people like ogelthorpe better and savannah mall is a "dead mall". I see dogs in almost all the parks but here is a list http: Jul 7, I grew up in C Port. So I can tell you the real Savannah is a beautiful city architecturally but as far as culture and entertainment, its driven and catered to the white resistance, tourist largely.
Those shops down town and the bars ain't nothing but places just for them. I can remember going out one night and being turned off by the lack of things to do for us. The culture is mostly SCADish I know alot of locals like Buffalo wild wings down town. As far as dating.
The men are gold teeth, gibard pants wearing surrounded. SSU home coming is straight. Everyone comes out for that. Alot of the blacks mentality there is slow and limited.

I love going back to visit but as far as living there again. I would feel very limited. Jul 26, I live here now It's not really bad but it's a "slower" city compared to a lot of other places. Savannah still has that country-like feel to it. My brother has lived there for years.. Jul 28, I've lived in Savannah, too and still have family there. Like others have noted, the pace of life is slower, but it seems like that will not bother you at all. As for dating, I always meet someone nice when I go there, but it's usually my schedule that jacks things up.
