I don't understand your response whatsoever. After further investigation, this message is usually not a network issue. It's more likely an issue with your computer being able to phone home to Steam, or for the VAC system to be able to work properly. We're looking into potential issues on our backend. And we'll make this error message identify the problem more clearly, and provide some better troubleshooting steps. In the meantime, hopefully this post will give people some better ideas of things to try instead of only looking at networking, since that's probably not the issue for most people.
More likely, it's because the steam service isn't running properly on your computer, or something in your Steam installation is screwed up, etc. This is totally on your end. There's nothing wrong with my internet, Steam service nor Steam installation. Also, it works perfectly fine to search for a MM game on my alternative accounts, but not on my main account. Providing my steam profile as well and going for the 10 mil shot: I get all the ping measurements, including some that are totally fine including one that is 2 ms, because it's like a mile from my house. So it's definitely something screwy on their end with validation. It almost looks like they are trying to use the wrong server. Just guessing, but if they're trying to connect me to pww, no wonder I fail validation.
I'm a mile away from one of their servers, maybe try letting me use that one for routing please instead of the one from China? One switched to his smurf account and that account is working fine. On the same computer,same network etc. Tell your friend to take the folder of his main account and replace it with the files inside the smurfs account and it should work atleast it did for me.
We actually logged into an account getting the error from multiple PCs on different networks. The account had the issue on every one. The odds of this being on our end are the number of users with problems to the power of the probability of this being on the user's end. As you can see, it gets exponentially less likely that this is an issue on our end since this happens to so many people.
After making a post someone told me to extract the data from my smurfs user account folder into my main account folder and now i can play on my main again. So people probably have to reinstall steam altogether or use the solution i did!

My solution supports the notion that it is a steam related issue that some files are missing or it not beeing installed properly. I googled that one and that is perfectly normal according to Valve here: It's on your end. No way this suddenly starts happening to s of people without something mucking up on your end. How is it that people playing on the same desktop, can switch to another account and play fine? I have been able to play two games in the past two days, the rest of the time I get this error after exactly 16 seconds of searching. After a while it just started working again by itself.
I don't think it was an issue from my part, as I did not fix either my software or my internet connection after posting this thread, yet it did fix itself. Huge thanks for responding to this thread and trying to help the users that currently are experiencing this issue by giving some advice, I personally really appreciate it and I am certain more people do.
Restart your csgo and maybe steam, if it doesn't help then just let it be for some time. It should fix itself. If you're in hurry and really want to play you might try restarting your pc, I heard it was helpful in some cases. It did not affect the problem at all in my case though. Im having the same issue since yesterday. My connection has never had any problems before. This is happening to me too.

I have tried starting steam as administrator and resetting my ip and dns, and I get the same error. While troubleshooting this we had 4 different people from 4 different areas try to login with an account. Same error message on all four computers YET we are all able to use our normal accounts and our friend is able to use ours just fine. So I actually went home from school and I'm still having the same issue even though it's a different area with different internet connection, etc. As soon as I switched to a different account however, I can play.

OK, So i can actually play my fix was I ran as administrator and i verified my gfc like 3 seperate times it finally worked when i combined the run as admin and verified gfc.
